physiological function overexpression of OASS does not affect the nodule number, but negatively impacts plant growth. Levels of cysteine, glutathione, and homoglutathione nearly double in OASS overexpressing nodules when compared to control nodules. Several metabolites related to serine, aspartate, glutamate, and branched-chain amino acid pathways are significantly elevated in OASS overexpressing nodules. Flavonoid levels of the OASS overexpressing nodules are mostly reduced Glycine max
